Day One to Day Five Lectures

Day One

Introduction to the basic principles and philosophy underlying the techniques of Evolutionary Astrology.  We will contrast conventional interpretations of an astrological configuration with evolutionary ones, expanded areas of strength.  First, far greater scope for individual consciousness to interact with the questions the planets ask and to create answers that may be a lot more encouraging and meaningful than more fatalistic understandings. Second, we place astrology squarely in the mainstream of the metaphysical traditions in Eastern Western and much native philosophy and make their strengths our own.

Day Two

Working with the Nodes of the moon.  While everthing in the chart is there for a reason and reflects pre existing conditions in the soul, it is through the lunar nodes that we follow the royal road into the heart of the karmic story. The techniques here are complex involving an integrated analysis not only of the nodes themselves, but also of their planetary rulers and planet and aspect to their axis. Here, we learn what is probably the most unique element in the practical toolbox of Evolutionary Astrology. Using this nodal analysis, we discover "The chart behind the chart" - the ghost of the unresolved karmic stories which underlie the dramas and challenges of the present lifetime.

Day Three

Today we will take everything we have learned so far and bring it to a practical focus through anlysis of the nodal structures in the charts of various (volunteer class members). Anyone who so chooses will simply put their name in our "Sorting Hat (see "Hary Potter"for definitions.....) We will draw names and apply the techniques of karmic analysis and counsel, specifically wiithin the context of nodel analysis. Today our concern is simply and narrowly with discovering "the chart behind the chart" learning to recognize its relevance to the present circumstances, and how to offer practical evolutionary support.

Day Four

Pulling the "Two Charts" together.  In each birthchart' there are in a sense two charts.  Much of what we have been doing in the seminar so far focuses on learning to read the fingerprints of the karmic imprint "the chart behind the chart". Today we merge all that information with the powerful and more familiar techniques of psychological astrology, learning to understand how the present psychological vehicle serves the larger purpose of the soul.

Day Five

Integration in the counseling context. The material revealed through Evolutionary Astrology is often very emotionally charged. We must resist the ego driven compulsion to nail people and replace it with a loving an skillful intent to help them. Today we will explore some of those positive techniques and learn to recognize some of the pitfalls of our new found power.  Questions and Answers are of course welcome throughout the entire seminar, but today we will allow more breathing room for that kind of dialogue as we attempt to wrap up the package.
