Steven Forrest 'Love and Mischief" Find below and day by day description of each lecture
APRIL 9TH -13TH 2007DAY ONE - TWO ONES MAKE A TWO; INDVIDUAL RELATIONSHIP NEEDS, DYNAMICS AND BLINDSPOTSThe focus here is upon the widely varying relational perspectives that are uniquely relevant to each individual. How important IS relationship to this person? What kind of relationship is most appropriate? We'll be looking first and foremost at the wholeness of the birth chart integretive. But we'll pay particular attention to Venus and Mars, and to any planets in the "Arc of Intimacy" houses, four through eight.DAY TWO; THE ROLE OF KARMA Behind the obvious symbolism of any birthchart lies another level of analysis in which we see the ghost images of past lives. For purposes of this class, you can take that term literally or figuratively. The point is that no area of our lives feels so "fated" or so "karmas" as human intimacy and the specific prior life analytic techniques of Evolutionary Astrology reveal these dynamics very clearly. Day two is essentially a crash course in this methodology, with a particular focus on its relevance to human relationships.DAY THREE; CLASSICAL SYNASTRY How does the wholeness of my chart lock in with the wholeness of yours? That is the critical, central question for Day three. We bring up the details here by carefully considering two linked techniques, the first is "interaspects" - my mercury squares you moon ( and of course that means my moon squares your mercury) The second is House Transpositions - my Venus falls in your fifth House. Throughout we are not aiming at judging a relationship terms of predicting its success or failure. Rather, our intention lies in learning to support existing relationships by helping the couple generate compassionate insight into each other.DAY FOUR ; THE COMPOSITE CHART The whole is eternally greater than the sum of the parts. Each couple has a personality, just as does each individual. And that larger personality has its own evolutionary needs, strengths, and blind spots, which may be rather different from those of the two individuals. Astrology gets at all this through the composite chart. DAY FIVE; PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHERWe can spend a life time understanding an individual birthchart. In synastry, we have two of them; plus their interactions with each other. Then we add a third - The composite chart, and it's interactions with each of the individual birth charts. Its enough to make us trade our Emphemerides for Tarot cards! How do we stay on top of it all?. One of Steven's key principles is that if we are slightly confused, the client will be totally confused. How can we avoid that? Day Five is an attempt to pull together all that we've learned over the previous four days fusing it into a practical, coherent system that empowers us to help people love each other more wisely and skillfully. |
